International chez Groupe Bel

Hello, I’m Garo Matossian, and I will share with you my Bel experience. My title at Bel is Senior Area Manager responsible for the Levant zone [?]. During university years, I was so keen to travel around with a group of friends into different cities, different countries, in order to meet people from diverse cultural backgrounds. I never expected that a real paid would provide a similar joy, but working at Bel it really did. Today, as part of my work, I cover four out of the 120 countries where Bel products are sold. I spend more than half of my time travelling around from one place to another, meeting people with diverse cultural backgrounds, I guess more than 25. Our Dubai and Beirut offices where my work is concentrated, we have 23 employees from nine different nationalities. Also the mobility policies of the HR gave us a lot of opportunities to move people from one place to another, and it’s really paying off in terms of international and career development of the Bel team. No matter how Bel… big it is and international it is, we never lose focus on the core reason behind our success, our consumers. Our brands have become icons for a happy lifestyle and healthy living, and our 27 factories all around the globe make sure that we are close to our consumer in satisfying their needs quite efficiently and effectively. We like to listen to our consumers to understand their specific needs, their ethnic and their culture requirements, and we adapt our products to meet those specific needs. Bel gave me this chance to live this adventurous lifestyle in a very professional working environment, and this is why I keep on sharing smiles.
