Internship period : 6 months from July to December 2024


The Economic Research Department's mission is to carry out diagnosis, monitoring and forecasts of macroeconomic trends on a worldwide basis, to assess and monitor country risks and industry risks, and to develop in depth analyzes on key crosscutting themes such as global trade, protectionism, insolvencies, payment behavior, both for internal (strategic, commercial and risk decisions) and external (brand awareness).


Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the team of sector advisors in their daily tasks and researches: contribute to the diagnosis and monitoring of global sector trends, sector risks, insolvencies and other key topics such as DSOs, WCRs, corporate debt, M&A for a set of countries sectors by maintainingdatabase, updating forecasts, responding to urgent queries, writing short notes and talking points, contributing to publications and drawing-up presentations for clients, prospects, media and internal audience.
  • Support the team of sector advisors in their projects, by conducting ad-hoc researches, setting up indicators, developing new database/tool (quantitative focus: regression analysis, time series(VAR), panel analysis and other applied data science projects (Stata / Python / E-views)) to enrich the analysis, and contributing to documentation and presentations.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

  • Strong knowledge in micro-economy/corporate finance/statistics.
  • Additional knowledge in macro economy is an advantage.
  • Very good analytical, research and writing skills in English and French.
  • Ability to work in an international environment.
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office suite, in particular Excel.
  • Quantitative skills: statistical software (Python, E-views, R, Stata)
  • Experience with economic data providers (IHS, Datastream, Bloomberg) is necessary
