The R&I Department of Capgemini Engineering and the Aerospace, Space, and Defense division in Toulouse are conducting research and innovation projects in the field of next-generation, high-performance mechanical structures.
You will be integrated into the Nextructures research project, which includes a work package dedicated to the development of tools and methods for structural damage assessment.
Our team has developed an in-house métier tool that can display, compute and post-process results from finite-element simulations in NASTRAN (SOL 103 and 111). The development of this tool is ongoing, and any contribution is welcomed.
As part of the research project, you will participate in the following activities:
- Performing numerical simulations to obtain the results files needed to test the software,
- Reviewing the scientific and technical state of the art for solutions.
- Contributing to the development of the software.
- Conducting user tests to collect feedback.
- Writing the software documentation.
The intern/trainee will also be involved in the R&I community, participating in internal events, presenting their activities, and writing notes or articles.
Master’s or Engineering degree in mechanical engineering, you have experience in numerical simulation, especially in structural dynamics, and programming.
English level: B2.
Python, Spyder/VS Code, Git/GitLab, Hyperworks, NASTRAN.
