You area of work

Resilience is the ability of an organization to foresee, prepare for, and adapt to disruption while maintaining continuous operations and safeguarding its people, assets, and reputation. As part of its resilience management, Deutsche Börse AG is looking for an intern to support the organization's crisis management capabilities.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will prepare for high-consequence events that have the potential to seriously disrupt operations, damage reputations and destroy shareholder value
  • You will identify and assess risks that pose significant threats to the business
  • You will prepare documented crisis plans and processes
  • You will create remediation activities resulting from tests of plans and enterprise crisis programs
  • Moreover, you will use simulations and effective communication to stakeholders
  • In addition, you need to respond quickly and implement recovery programs

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled in an academic programme recognised by the state, preferably in Management/Economics/Business Administration
  • You show interest in financial market infrastructure, processes optimization and operational risk
  • You have good knowledge of the operational risk profile and business model of Deutsche Börse Group
  • You have analytical skills, creativity, critical thinking and the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • You are familiar with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks related to crisis management, such as ISO 22301 or ISO 22361, BRRD, CSDR and EMIR
  • You show commitment, motivation and accurac and you have the ability to work independently and as a team player
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • Furthermore, you have advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • In addition, you are proficient in written and spoken English, preferably also German
