Mission :


The Paper Supply Team is looking for its new VIE. This structure manages the Purchases of paper (or plasterboard liner – PBL) for the Saint-Gobain’s Gypsum business, and has also a strong activity on the Supply Chain side. It is part of the Central Purchasing Team (CPT).
The VIE will support the CPT on several purchasing-related tasks :
  1. “Paper Analyst” role (» 75-80 % of the time)
  • Manage the paper price mechanisms for European suppliers and internal distribution to plants.
  • Reporting :
    •  Support the PST in several exercises linked to paper prices in Europe : analysis, forecasts, benchmarking, reporting, savings, budget.
    •  Collect and compile paper volumes purchased worldwide.
    •  Develop and maintain a worldwide price benchmark follow-up tool.
    •  Present to the team every month the paper volumes and prices development.
  • Market intelligence : support the PST to improve its knowledge on some markets (paper, waste paper, plasterboard,…).
  • Support the PST in launching a set of KPI’s to follow our supplier’s performance.
  1. Lead-buyer role on one category (» 10-15 %)
 
  1. “Steel Analyst” role (» 5-10 %)
  • Support lead buyer in sharing key data/information and communicate with steel buyers community :
    •  Monthly reports analysis and internal tool update, usage of collaboration tools (My Saint-Gobain/Alfresco) 
    •  Contact/Follow-up with international buyers network
    •  Attending & participating to the Monthly Steel Conf Calls and Annual Steel meeting
 

Profil recherché :


For this position we are looking for someone with a purchasing, business administration or management background with a first experience in purchasing.
A fluent level in English and French are necessary and an additional language like German or Spanish would be a plus.
