About Martin Evans Associates

Martin Evans Associates provides expert structural engineering advice to homeowners, architects, property developers and builders in and around the Sheffield area. With over 20 years experience, structural design is the company's primary activity but it also undertakes structural inspections and prepares diagnostic reports in respect of building defects. Above all the aim is to help customers. Design work typically includes advising in relation to new dwellings, loft and cellar conversions, extensions of all types, large and small, and simple knock-throughs. Whilst these are generally residential scale projects and may appear to be easy, that is often not the case. Each project is different because of the different needs of the people involved and understanding of customer needs goes hand in hand with appropriate engineering input, all of which can make a real difference to projects both in terms of delivering what the customer wants and buildability.

There is an emphasis on offering members of the team the opportunity to take on responsibility and work directly with customers - while you would initially be working alongside other senior members of the team, you would soon be expected to take responsibility for your own projects. The company has a team of hard-working technical staff all of whom want to help people.
