Field of activity

The Risk Methodology ETD team is part of Eurex Clearing's Models & Analytics section, which is responsible for developing and maintaining state of the art risk methodologies, comprising models for market risk, liquidity risk and product valuation amongst others. The team tasks evolve from three core topics which are margining models, pricing models and new products and focus on exchange traded products such as Futures and Options traded at Eurex.

We are looking for your strong support in the area of new product initiatives: As part of your regular working topics in your new role, you contribute to new product initiatives from a methodological perspective by integrating products in the margining and pricing model landscapes as well as from an organisational perspective by coordinating risk assessments across the risk management department and liasing with internal stakeholders. You are involved in the full process chain of bringing new products ideas to life: Starting with a close interaction with our product developers, you understand new product specifics and ensure that requirements from responsible stakeholders in the risk department are reflected in the risk assessment. It is your responsibility to support the planning of new product initiatives scope and to proactively report workstream status updates to senior management.


  • Organize and contribute to department-wide risk assessments to include new product initiatives in Eurex Clearing's Risk Management Framework
  • Support planning of new product initiatives scope and proactively report workstream status updates to senior management
  • Identify and understand risk management related market and regulatory trends in the exchange traded products space and beyond
  • Represent Eurex Clearing AG towards customers, regulators and internal counterparties with respect to quantitative risk management topics

Qualifications/required skills

  • Background in a financial or quantitative discipline, additional certifications such as CFA, FRM or PRM are an additional asset
  • At least 3 years of experience in risk management of financial instruments, project management experience is an asset
  • Efficient team player with a high degree of organizational self-reliance
  • Strong communication skills and results orientation as well as good quantitative and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of financial markets and products as well as the regulatory landscape
  • Experience in programming (e.g. Python) and databases (e.g. SQL) is an asset
  • Excellent command of MS office
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
