Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial and accounting functions; including monthly closing, bookings, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Developing accruals of monthly and yearly expenditures and developing amortization schedules.
  • Building budget reports for individual cost centers, running analytical models on budget data, and working with internal unit heads to manage budget usage.
  • Monthly reconciliations, including travel, wages, and purchasing.
  • Full cycle accounts payable; including receiving, processing, and developing payment runs for vendor invoices.
  • Intercompany billing, and working together with Accounting in Germany to ensure intercompany balances and payments are maintained.
  • Annual audit support as directed

Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • University degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or comparable
  • Understanding of US GAAP
  • Some knowledge of SAP-FI and SAP-CO or comparable ERP is an asset
  • Strong communication skills, good analytical thinking and a high degree of initiative
  • Interest in familiarizing quickly and independently with new accounting areas and subjects, willingness to take on responsibilities
  • German-speaking is an asset
