We are currently seeking a Logistics and Warehouse Coordinator to join our RFID business supply chain team.  This key individual will ensure efficient and cost effective transportation and warehousing of goods. You will process intercompany orders and oversee the order fulfillment cycle. You will be responsible for making sure supplies, raw materials, packaging, and products flow through a lean and efficient global logistics network.

One of your priorities will be to facilitate communication between Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and our Distribution Centers to ensure an efficient supply chain while maintaining trusted relationships among our team members.  You will evaluate existing processes and implement improvements to build world class warehousing, inventory management, and logistics functions. 

Activities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain a safe and clean work are

  • Share best practices among Avery Dennison warehouses and manufacturing hubs

  • Support internal and external audits of our warehouses

  • Facilitate shipping of products from one location to another

  • Manage distribution and shipment budgets (inbound and outbound) 

  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators of standard logistics, warehousing, and supply chain metrics: 

    • Inventory Turnover

    • Back Order Rate

    • 3PL Coordination for Inventory Accuracy

    • 3PL Coordination for Order Picking Accuracy

    • Truck Time at Dock

    • Days on Hand and Stock Field rate at DC

    • Time to Receiving and Pick Location

    • Customer Order Cycle Time

    • Days Sales Outstanding

    • Freight Cost Per Unit

    • On-Time Shipping Rate

  • Manage 3PL daily cycle counts

  • Manage aging inventory situations

  • Establish and manage fulfillment of stocking agreements

  • Coordinate intercompany inventory transfers

  • Resolve shipping errors,  shipment discrepancies, and damaged shipment situations,

  • Coordinate and expedite customs clearance

  • Coordinate approval and tracking of expedited shipments

  • Implement packaging improvements and packaging cost reduction

  • Coordinate, standardize, and implement product and package labeling

  • Optimize transportation options for inbound and outbound air, sea, and road freight

  • Deploy and develop inventory strategies and policies 

  • Participate in negotiations with transportation providers

  • Interface with Avery Dennison’s Trade Compliance Team

  • Conduct weekly meetings with our Global Strategic Inventory Manager and Global Supply Chain Managers to optimize product flow from manufacturing hubs to distribution centers and customer locations

  • Plan and coordinate work processes among regional operations and customer service functions

  • Perform yearly physical inventory counts

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ warehouse/ distribution center experience

  • 3+ years’ management experience

  • Supply chain terminology and experience (general knowledge)

  • Practical experience with logistics, inventory control, material handling, and transportation

  • Manufacturing experience a plus

  • Understanding of customs, duties, Incoterms, and trade compliance

  • Experience with ERP and Supply Chain Management Systems.  Prefer knowledge of SAP and Oracle.

  • Working knowledge of Google G-Suite applications and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet applications (Google Sheets and MS Excel)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Fluent English (written and spoken) a must, French a plus

  • Ability to articulate and translate business requirements into technical and process specifications

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Ability to prioritize and manage program risk

  • Willingness and ability to manage complex projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced, changing, and demanding environment

  • Motivated self-starter with ingenuity and confidence to succeed

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 5% of the time
