As an Internship Market Research Biobased segment you’ll be responsible for providing strategic input & advice on the legal medicinal cannabis market in European countries.
You will be part of the BU Agriculture – Horticulture solutions team; we are a growing global business in the field of agricultural lighting. We aim to be the best possible advisor towards our customers, adding value to their business by providing not only lighting systems and crop growing recipes, but also business advice, services and knowledge sharing. What you’ll do
Performing market research for medicinal cannabis market segment and provide strategic advice and valuable input to the team on:
You will check the status cannabis legislation per country in Europe + expected legislation year for growing cannabis
You will make a list of largest growers, #Ha and light-source used
You will interview key stakeholders in industry to determine trends & most important players
You will be supporting Marketing Intelligence activities
You will be actively participating in our virtual intern network where you’ll be working on business cases, personal development and building your internal network.
HBO/university student in e.g. economics / business administration / agriculture / marketing
Multiple languages (Fluent in English and preferred Dutch/French/German/..)
Experience with desk research & Google translate
Affinity or experience with horticulture industry is preferred
Precise and accurate combined with hands-on mentality
Strong team player

EU/EER students: In order to be considered for this internship, you need to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation of this may be requested at any time.
Non-EU students in Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and your university needs to sign the Nuffic Agreement. The internship needs to be a compulsory part of your studies (receive ECTS in turn). In case of non-compulsory internship, you need to have a letter from the university in which it states that your internship contributes to your personal development, what your learning goals are and what tasks you will undertake during your internship. The letter has to be signed and stamped by your university.
Non-EU students in non-Dutch Universities: You need to be registered as a student and the internship should be a compulsory part of your studies. Also, you need to be able to get the official approval of your university for this internship (Nuffic agreement).
