ING Solutions Investment Management (ISIM) is looking for a Fund Controller Trainee to support the current and planned developments of its activities in Luxembourg.

 

Your working environment

ISIM is a subsidiary of ING Belgium (32%) and ING Luxembourg (68%). ISIM benefits from the status of a “Super ManCo” as it has received licenses to manage both UCITS and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF).

ISIM currently oversees Investment Funds distributed by different Group-entities: ING Belgium, ING Luxembourg, ING Germany, ING Autria, ING CZ, ING France...

Launched in 2014, ISIM is evolving as Start Up to pursue its development and intends to be positioned as the ManCo of ING Group and as a key tool for Investment Fund solutions within ING Group.

ISIM is currently composed of a team of 10 employees but new additional collaborators are expected to join in 2018.

 

Job description

As a Fund Controller Trainee, you will contribute to the oversight and control of the delegated functions (Fund Administration, Fund Distribution) as well as to the controls performed by the Risk Management function.

You will be asked to assist the team in various controls, such as:

 

Oversight and controls of delegated functions

  • Due diligence reports on the delegates;
  • Review and analysis of the Key Performance Indicators & Key Risk Indicators of the Funds  (monthly review/exceptions reports from delegates);
  • Review of the Fund expenses and the related calculation of ongoing charges;
  • Review of the reconciliations between the Fund records and the custodian records;
  • Monthly meeting with delegates.

Fund distribution and registration

  • Control on the publication of fund data and investor documents

  • Proactively animate the client-relation with the different distributors. This should be considered in a broad way, going from organizing seminars to brainstorm and making commercial documents

  • Website development of ISIM and/or clients

Reporting

  • Review of the draft annual accounts and other Fund reporting

  • Preparation of the Board packs

Given the small size of the team, the Fund Controller Trainee will also provide support in various operational / administrative tasks of the ManCo whenever needed.

Your profile

Knowledge and experience

  • Study in Economics / Finance. Marketing and webdesign are considered as an asset.

  • Good knowledge of Word and Excel

  • French/English

Skills

  • Flexible and eager to learn

  • Team player 

  • Fluency in French and English, knowledge of other languages being considered as an asset.
