The Pops team is looking for their first HR expert in Spain. HR is a serious mission so you’ll be responsible for everything related to contracts, payroll, and Legal in Spain. You’ll help us to scale the HR department in Spain and will also be involved in Global projects! It requires a previous strong experience in HR, this cannot be your first rodeo.

This mission won’t be easy and will have to be divided into smaller objectives. Our first step towards realizing this mission is our food-supply ordering platform connecting restaurants and suppliers, simplifying the way food is traded between them.

Your menu: Senior People Operations in Spain
Complete ownership: Spain will be your country to look for. With approximately 30 people in S, you’ll own the entire employee life cycle. From onboarding to offboarding (The less possible) you’ll also be responsible for payroll preparation, you’ll guarantee a flawless administrative setup, and will cover up legal requirements. It’s quite simple, you are in charge of everything that happens in Spain in the HR field, exciting right?
Scaling up the rocketship: Ownership is good, scaling and improving things is even better, you’ll be able to give the calls, pinpoint what needs to be improved and be the driver of the solution. Whether locally or globally, you’ll have the possibility to develop new processes, implement new tools, and put to action most of your ideas.
Be the “go-to person” in the region: If you want to pursue a career in HR, you know that employees are always asking a lot of questions. You’ll be their first point of contact. Whenever it’s something as easy as helping them with their Swiile account to something extremely serious like issues with their manager (Maybe it will happen one day), you’ll be there to answer.
Global projects: Yes, you will own your scope but you’ll also be integrated into a bigger team, with a bigger scope. You’ll constantly be exchanging with our HR team in Berlin, in the US, with our recruitment team (I’m here, for now, writing this job ad for you, we’ll meet each other soon) and sometimes with leaders of other departments (Product, Design, Engineering…)

The ingredients you bring to the table
HR Expertise. No, we won’t say that you need 4 or 5 years of experience but instead, what really matters for you to qualify for that role is to have already important knowledge of French payroll, employment law, and administrative requirements.
Desire to make this country yours. You will be able to use Spain as a playground. Yes there is some things that we cannot play with (Legal, payroll…) but you’ll be able to take a lot of initiatives everywhere you identify a need. And yes, mistakes will be allowed during the process.
An overwhelming curiosity. Otherwise, you would not be interested in a job in HR right? You really need to care to do your work with integrity but above all to really care for the people around you. And to always ask questions, the right questions.
