Job description

The Procurement team helps Jupiter become leaner, faster and more effective by introducing supplier capability and technology to the business, while maximising the value we get from those relationships. By joining the Procurement team, you'll be in a position to directly impact Jupiter's overall performance and sustainability as we work with the business to ensure its continued success with evolving demands from our clients and the environment.

The team has a broad remit of activity across Jupiter, so there will be plenty to keep you challenged, interested and busy during your time with us.The main skills used in the team that the trainee must be keen to develop are:

  • Negotiation: The ability to come to mutually advantageous terms [both commercial and contractual] with suppliers
  • Contracting: How to draft and agree contracts and statements of work that are clear and unambiguous
  • Communication: The ability to clearly articulate your thoughts and to make yourself quickly understood
In this role you will primarily be assisting other members of the Procurement team to:

  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and draft tender documents
  • Run competitive go-to-market exercises and evaluate responses
  • Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with suppliers
  • Manage existing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Understand and evaluate the carbon intensity of our supply chains so that we can work with suppliers to reduce this as we work to becoming NetZero by 2050

This is an exciting opportunity to join Jupiter's Procurement team as part of the Investment20/20 programme. This role will be eligible to participate in the Company's more flexible 2-1-2 working arrangement. Two days Tuesday and Thursday's are prescribed days where all employees should work from the office and one other office day can be chosen by you and two days worked from home.
