The commercial teams at Taylor Wimpey are responsible for managing the costs and budgets of all our developments to ensure that we build quality homes that our customers will enjoy living in. The commercial team who are made up of Quantity Surveyors and Buyers are required to build relationships with our suppliers and sub-contractors. They work across all of the Taylor Wimpey departments to ensure we buy the right components to build our homes at the right prices as well as ensuing that the costs are managed throughout the build.
As a Commercial Trainee, you will learn all aspects of the commercial team to later decide where you will focus your career.
This is an exciting opportunity to train to become a qualified commercial professional by joining the Management Trainee programme. It's perfect for someone either leaving school or college with A levels or a construction related qualification or someone who has already gained their degree in quantity surveying or a commercially focused discipline and wants to develop their experience.

What we are looking for
To be a successful in the commercial team your strengths should be an attention to detail, strong numerical skills and the ability to build relationships with others as you will need to work effectively across teams.
To be successful in this role you must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK.
- Maths and English GCSE (Grades A*-C or 9-4) preferred
- Minimum qualification level of BTEC Level 3 qualification in construction and the built environment or construction related OR 'A' or (AS) levels e.g. maths or science related subject
- Computer iteracy
- Full driving licence or working towards a licence preferred
