Who is XAnge?
XAnge is a leading European venture capital firm managing approximately €650M, with offices in Paris and Berlin. We support ambitious Seed and Series A startup founders aiming to expand globally. Our track record includes renowned investments such as 360Learning, Believe, Kapten, Ledger, Lydia, Misterspex, Neolane, Odoo, Welcome to the Jungle, and many others. XAnge is part of the Siparex Group, an independent private equity firm with €3.7B in assets under management.
To support our growth, the Operations Team at XAnge is seeking an Event and Community Manager to strengthen our communication and event strategies.
Why we need you
XAnge is on an ambitious trajectory to solidify its leadership across Europe. With increasing activity in France and Germany, a growing portfolio of companies, and a dynamic ecosystem of partners, we need a talented Event and Community Manager to enhance our relationships and visibility among key stakeholder groups:
- Entrepreneurs
- Portfolio Companies
- Clients Limited Partners (LPs)
- VC peers and related communities
- Accelerators, incubators, and startup studios
- Schools and innovation hubs
- Exceptional talents/experts
This role is pivotal in driving engagement and reinforcing XAnge’s position as a key player in the tech and innovation ecosystem.
Your responsibilities
1. Event Management
- Lead the planning and execution of 30+ events annually in France, Germany and rest of Europe, including side events at major ecosystem gatherings (e.g., Slush, Web Summit), portfolio breakfasts and dinners, networking events, and internal team gatherings.
- Manage participation in key ecosystem events, including speaking opportunities for XAnge team members. You will be supported by the team and external freelancers to facilitate access to event organizers and ensure a seamless experience.
2. Community Management
- Act as the primary manager of XAnge’s communication channels, including LinkedIn, newsletters, and Slack.
- Identify stakeholders to engage with and find innovative ways to foster collaboration (e.g., partnerships, co-hosted events, or content creation).
- Coordinate the production of resources needed to engage with your communities, working across the XAnge team to align efforts.
3. Team Coordination and Collaboration
- Your challenge will be to collaborate closely with all XAnge team members to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and communication efforts. Each team member brings valuable assets to the table—strong networks, unique insights, high-value content, and visibility—which you’ll harness as central pillars of your event and community management strategy. This is a team effort; we’re looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, not a one-person show!
- Coordinate cross-team resource production, such as contact lists, content development, or speaker identification, to achieve your objectives.
- Share performance insights and KPIs to showcase the impact of your work and demonstrate excellent project management skills.
Your Team
The Operations Team at XAnge is composed of 8 members (Communication, Startup Success, LP Success, and Office Management), led by Guillaume Meulle, Managing Partner. You will report to Pauline, Director of Operations and Priscille, Head of Communications for Siparex Group.
Job Growth Potential
This role offers significant growth opportunities. With proven results, you could evolve into a leadership position overseeing international communication efforts as Head of Comms.
What you bring
- 3 years of experience in event planning, community management, or a similar role in the tech ecosystem (accelerator, startup, VC, etc.).
- Based in Paris with regular trips in Berlin and Europe (5-6 times / year).
- A strong understanding of the European tech and startup ecosystem, with the ability to name key stakeholders across different sectors.
- Proficiency in social media management tailored to professional audiences.
- Outstanding project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- A can-do attitude: you’re energetic, resourceful, and excel at inspiring and involving others in your initiatives.
- Fluent in English and French; German is a plus. With strong written and oral communication skills in both languages.
What we offer
- Competitive salary with bonus and profit-sharing incentives.
- A budget for professional development and training to support your growth.
- Access to Gymlib, 50% coverage of commuting expenses, and subsidized meal vouchers (€10/day at 60%).
- A flexible remote work policy to support work-life balance.
