The Data & AI Foundations pillar ensures data readiness, governance, and scalable architecture across Avertim.
Role
As a Data Architect Intern, you will contribute to the design and structuring of data management foundations enabling Avertim’s AI use cases and client offerings. You will collaborate with AI experts and business teams to build scalable, reliable, and governance-compliant data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to data architecture and data modelling
- Perform data audits across various business processes :
- Support data pipeline and data flow design
- Analyse data quality, availability and gaps
- Assist in defining data governance frameworks (ownership, access, quality)
- Develop reusable standards, templates and best practices
- Ensure alignment between business needs and data solutions
- Collaborate with process owners to understand data needs and pain points
- Prepare clear reports and recommendations for stakeholders
Profile & Skills
Education
- Master’s in Data, IT, Business Engineering or related field (ongoing/recent)
- Strong interest in data, AI, and digital transformation
Technical
- Basics of data modelling, relational databases (SQL), and data flows
- Familiarity with ETL/pipelines and APIs
- Exposure to cloud (Azure purview/AWS/GCP) is a plus
- Understanding of data governance principles
Skills
- Strong analytical and structured thinking
- Knowledge of GDPR or AI Act is a plus
- Ability to translate business needs into data requirements
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset
- Proactive and eager to learn in an agile environment
