We are looking for a part-time student for our Legal and Compliance team which consists of 10 employees. The team provides internal advice and counsel to all areas of Capital Four and supports the running of the day-to-day business as well as strategic developments. In our work, we interact with clients, external legal counsels and advisors, regulators, and various other stakeholders.
As part of the team, you will get experience with performing anti-money laundering/KYC and compliance related tasks.
AML/KYC and compliance tasks will be the main focus of your work. In addition, you may be asked to assist with ad hoc legal queries, legal research and regulatory analysis.
Job description
- Performing KYC and AML related tasks in relation to new and existing clients, Capital Four counterparties, direct lending borrowers, investors etc., in line with regulatory requirements (AML, CTF, for example) and internal requirements, which involves:
- Collection and verification of client, counterparty, borrower and investor documentation.
- Sanctions screening and background checks (PEP / adverse media), using internal systems and third-party tools.
- Handle internal and external ad hoc request
- Conducting compliance controls
- Drafting and reviewing business policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Participate in compliance projects and projects involving new legislation
- The position is estimated to be 15 hours a week with a flexible attitude towards working hours.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a relevant degree, e.g. Law, Economics, Finance, Business Administration and Commercial Law etc.
- Preferably with at least three years remaining of your education.
- A structured working approach and ability to consistently deliver high quality results.
- Great communication skills and high proficiency in written and spoken English.
