Complete your internship in marine biology in Portugal and take part in research projects dedicated to the study and conservation of cetaceans and marine biodiversity in the Algarve. Your Missions
Your tasks will be adapted to the needs of the research projects and may include:
- Taking part in cetacean and marine wildlife observation surveys, both from the coast and at sea.
- Identifying observed species and recording their behaviour.
- Collecting scientific data (GPS locations, photographs, behavioural observations).
- Participating in photo-identification protocols and population monitoring.
- Entering, processing, and analysing collected data using specialised tools and databases.
- Contributing to ongoing research projects in collaboration with marine biologists.
- Taking part in theoretical training sessions on marine biology, scientific monitoring methods, and marine ecosystem conservation.
- Raising awareness of marine biodiversity protection and learning about the challenges of conservation in ocean environments.
