Responsibilities

Societe Generale Global Solution Center Poland is a new and growing area of the SG Warsaw Branch. Within the Global Banking and Advisory business unit (GLBA), the Business Transformation Office (BTO) supports the strategy, development and transformation of the business while maintaining a solid and secure operating framework. As part of the business rather than the IT department, the team combines strong IT expertise with a strong interest in functional topics.

The successful candidate will manage the full development lifecycle of applications dedicated to business users, including needs analysis, development, user support, training and technical advisory. The initial mission will focus on taking over existing applications, understanding their functional and technical scope, identifying improvement opportunities, organizing support, reviewing backlogs with product owners and delivering enhancements.

During your VIE, your main mission will be:
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand and analyze their needs and translate them into functional applications that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Design, develop, test, debug and maintain high-quality software applications, APIs and tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Take over existing applications by learning their functional and technical scope, identifying improvement areas, performing root-cause analysis, organizing support and delivering backlog enhancements with product owners.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and reporting, and provide technical advice, user support and training.
  • Apply sound database design, risk awareness and attention to detail to deliver robust, secure and reliable solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advances in data engineering and rapid prototyping, including BI, low-code and no-code solutions.
  • Promote data-driven approaches and innovation among business users while collaborating effectively across teams.

A questionnaire will be provided to you in order to check your VIE (Société Générale and Business France) eligibility. For an efficient analysis of your application, please make sure to truthfully answer all the questions.

Please note that it is mandatory to provide us a formal proof of your M2 diploma validation before the assignment start date. No VIE mission will start without this document. *Grade sheets are not accepted as justification of diploma.

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

To facilitate the examination of your application by our English-speaking managers, we thank you for applying in English.
