IMEC is developing a technology platform inside its 300mmFab dedicated to Quantum Computing. We are building a photo luminescencecharacterization testbench to characterize defect profile insemiconductors.
Your role is to develop a new measurement setup on acryogenic testbench. This includes setting up the optical & electricalinstrumentation chain from a pre-existing layout, physically connecting thesystems and programming an automation framework. Parts may have to be specificallydesigned, simulated and produced on site using the existing infrastructure (Fablab, mechanical workshop or microelectronics lab). Leading-edge devicesincluding Silicon Spin Qubit devices will be used as a test vehicle todetermine the measurement repeatability, accuracy and performance. In charge ofthe system validation, you will be establishing a calibration protocol anddeliver its documentation.
Your profile : Bachelor or Master student in Science orEngineering Science, focusing on Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Photonicsor Optoelectronics. Proficient in English, you feel best in a lab environmentexperimenting and developing new systems or functionalities. Self-starter andresult oriented, you are eager to discover and use the full potential ofleading-edge equipment. You are at ease with several programming languagesincluding Python and not afraid to integrate heterogeneous systems. You areready to join a multicultural environment and learn intensely to deliverqualitative results.
Type of internship: Master internship, Bachelor internship
Duration: 6 to 12 months
Required educational background: Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, Physics, Materials Engineering, Electromechanical engineering
Supervising scientist(s): For further information or for application, please contact Sylvain Baudot (< E-Mail aus Sicherheitsgründen gelöscht >)
