The Department of Archaeology and Heritage Studies, located at Moesgaard Campus, is recruiting a Student Assistant (studentermedhjælper HK) to support the organisation and communication of our research seminars and related events.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up, overseeing, and clearing up receptions following the seminars. The seminars are held on Thursdays at Moesgaard Campus, usually in Foredragssalen, followed by a reception in the staff lounge.
  • Advertising research seminars and related events through social media, posters and other relevant channels, including putting up and removing posters at Moesgaard.
  • Ordering and/or purchasing drinks and snacks for seminar receptions.
  • Assisting with other ad hoc tasks related to the seminars and associated research activities.

Qualifications and requirements:

We are looking for someone who can work independently, carefully, and reliably, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality. You should be engaged, interested and academically curious, and willing to play an active role in sustaining and developing the research culture at Moesgaard. As the position involves close and regular engagement with research seminars and related academic activities, it may be particularly well suited to a student who is interested in pursuing an academic career in the longer term.

You must be enrolled as an active student at a Danish higher education institution.

A valid driver's license is required for the position.

As most activities take place at Moesgaard Campus, priority will be given to candidates who are currently enrolled in the bachelor's or master's degree programme in Archaeology or Sustainable Heritage Management at Aarhus University. Bachelor's students are particularly encouraged to apply, as we are looking for someone who will ideally be able to remain in the position for a longer period of time.

We would like the successful candidate to start on 1 October 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is expected to involve approximately 2-3 hours of work per week during the semesters, untilthe completion of their studies.

How to apply:

Please upload your application in English or Danish (maximum one A4 page) and your CV/ resume. Clearly state your current stage of study, as employment in this position is conditional upon your student status.

If you have any questions about the position, you are welcome to contact [email protected]
