EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for new talent to join its teams as a Back-End Developer Intern.

In this role, you will actively contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of the company’s applications and digital solutions. You will work primarily on server-side development, application logic, APIs, and databases, with real responsibilities from the start of your internship.

The experience takes place in Canada, in our Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver offices. You will discover a dynamic North American professional environment where efficiency, collaboration, autonomy, and initiative are central.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Back-End Developer Intern at EIC, you will play a key role in the development, reliability, and performance of our digital applications.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Feature development: design, develop, and deliver new features based on product and business needs.
Server-side development: design and maintain application logic, services, and server-side processes.
API development: build robust, documented, and secure APIs for web and mobile applications.
Database management: structure, maintain, optimize, and secure application data.
Code quality: write clean, tested, maintainable, and scalable code in accordance with development standards.
Bug fixing: identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues reported by users or detected during testing.
Code review: participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from the technical team.
Testing and validation: write and perform tests to ensure the reliability of developments before production release.
Performance optimization: identify areas for improvement and contribute to optimizing application performance.
Technical documentation: document developments, APIs, technical processes, and deployment procedures.
Collaboration with EIC teams: work closely with product, front-end, design, and operations teams to ensure consistent and efficient delivery.
Process optimization: contribute to improving development methods, technical tools, and internal processes.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

You are currently studying computer science, software engineering, web development, or a related field.
You have a genuine interest in software development, server-side technologies, and digital products.
You are proficient in at least one programming language and comfortable using version control tools such as Git.
You have experience or knowledge of at least one back-end technology such as Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or an equivalent technology.
You are comfortable working with relational databases and understand the fundamentals of data modeling.
You have an understanding of API development and client-server architecture.
You are rigorous, autonomous, organized, and able to solve technical problems.
You are curious, proactive, and comfortable working as part of a team.
You are comfortable using office and collaborative tools.
You are interested in developing your skills in an international and multicultural environment.
A good level of English may be required depending on the position and responsibilities.
