Global Company Overview
SAP started in 1972 as a team of five colleagues with a desire to do something new. Together, they changed enterprise software and reinvented how business was done. Today, the same entrepreneurial spirit continues to drive our culture of creativity, diversity and collaboration. We believe that together we can transform industries, grow economics, lift up societies and sustain our environment. Because it’s the best-run businesses that make the world run better and improve people’s lives.
At SAP, anything is possible. Our cloud ERP solutions, powered by technologies like the Internet of Things, Big Data and more, make a real impact on the world. SAP helps companies revolutionize everything from cancer treatments to flood prevention. We invest in research that can save lives, and we’re passionate about sustainability and social responsibility. Join us and work in an enriching and fulfilling environment. Bring everything you are. Become everything you want.
What is SAP culture? The best way to describe it is through our How We Run behaviors – 5 simple principles that give us purpose and help us achieve our goals. They are: tell it like it is, stay curious, embrace differences, keep the promise, and build bridges – not silos. At all SAP locations, our employees know what we stand for. Ask any of us, and we’ll tell you exactly how we run.
The key to SAP’s success? Our people. They are innovators, leaders, and all around great human beings. They come from many different countries, speak many different languages – and bring their own unique experiences to the table.
Local Company Overview - SAP's international Commercial Sales office in Barcelona
The SAP Barcelona Hub is an energetic, vibrant and dynamic office with a unique international and diverse workforce. The market units we have represented in our office are (in alphabetic order) Africa, Benelux, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, the Scandinavian countries and Turkey which makes it a very lively and multicultural place to work.
For recent graduate positions (entry level) the SAP Hub in Barcelona is a great, safe place to start your career with room to develop and make mistakes, to be creative and innovate and have a solid career and development path in place from entry level. Tina Alsted Grejsen, Head of Networks and Community at SAP, always said to her former sales team that “the only mistake you can make is not to make mistakes” as when you make mistakes, it could mean that you are trying new things and new ways of making our customers happy – and that’s the core to our culture; to make mistakes, and learn from them.
As well as for more experienced profiles with work experience, the SAP Barcelona Hub is the place for you to further develop your career. The roles we have spin far from business development, marketing, to sales, pre-sales and sales supporting teams as well as innovative teams, e.g. we have our Barcelona Experience Center (BEC) which is our innovative center where customer/partners/employees can explore and experiment.
No matter if you start as an intern, recent graduate or as a experienced professional, we have a solid on-boarding programme in place to help you get started well. For recent graduate and experienced professional, part of the on-boarding will take place at SAP Commercial Sales Academy in San Francisco (3-4 weeks duration).
In essence, our office is a fully integrated customer success organization focused on collaboration across all customer touch points while creating unique employee experiences and establishing a culture that is sustainably successful, constantly learning, and networked. Our people is our most important asset.
