Discover the Women@Dior & UNESCO Mentorship and Education Program with Mentees and Mentors in Japan
At Dior, we are committed to empowering women.
Mentors and graduating Mentees of the Women@Dior & UNESCO Mentorship & Education program in Japan united in celebration of their global sisterhood.
The experience began with a guided tour of the House of Dior Ginza, led by Tomoko Shiraishi, Senior Store Director of House of Dior Ginza, immersing Mentees into the rich heritage and iconic products of the hashtag#HouseOfDreams. Later, Mentees and Mentors enjoyed an afternoon tea at the Dior Café, providing the ideal moment to reflect together on their growth and achievements throughout the program.
Yuiko Metoki (目時結子), Women@Dior Mentee, shares: ‘Through the Women@Dior program, I have learned about the strength of women's solidarity and the wonderfulness of creating a business system in which women influence each other in a holistic, virtuous cycle. For me, Women@Dior has allowed me to realize and expand the various possibilities within myself.’
‘Listening to the real-life professional experiences shared by my Mentor at Dior has helped me solidify my vision for the future - one that prioritizes work-life balance and a genuine passion for my career,’ adds Ikumi Yamamoto (山本育実).
Their Women@Dior Mentor, Kanako Mizuhara, PR Assistant Manager, shares: ‘The Women@Dior program has been a valuable opportunity for me to explore and discover my own roots by empowering young women.’
Hina A., Women@Dior Mentee, adds: ‘Women@Dior is a significant place to exchange thoughts and experiences about womanhood with like-minded, determined people. These interactions have made me realize that despite our differences, there are many similarities in our experiences, and that the world may be a smaller place than we think.’
Her Women@Dior Mentor, Steven B., Planning Assistant Manager, expresses: ‘Being a Women@Dior Mentor is an incredibly fulfilling experience. Working closely with my Mentee, I witnessed her determination and resilience firsthand. Together, we navigated challenges and ultimately forged a bond rooted in mutual support and encouragement. This experience reminds me of the importance of adaptability and perseverance in the journey toward empowerment.’
Finally, Miyu Kobayashi, Women@Dior Mentee, shares: ‘Women@Dior provides a supportive sisterhood where we uplift each other's success and grow together as individuals. Connecting with my Mentor, teammates from the Dream For Change project, and fellow Women@Dior Mentees in Japan has been invaluable. Now, whenever I embark on something new or challenge myself, I find strength in knowing that the Women@Dior sisterhood believes in and supports me.’
