Could you be the full-time VIE - Supplier Quality Engineer in Austria we're looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your quality management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You'll work alongside a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals who are committed to excellence.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our suppliers' components and processes, directly contributing to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our customers. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain, to manage non-conformities, implement containment actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You'll specifically take care of non-conformity management and supplier quality improvement initiatives, but also support inspections and oversee top issues dashboards.

We'll look to you for:
  • Managing Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs), ensuring prompt communication with suppliers, and implementing securitization measures
  • Setting up and driving action plans to achieve NCR targets
  • Invoicing the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ S1) to suppliers
  • Handling supplier waiver requests and ensuring effective containment actions
  • Organizing retrofits and quality wall processes when necessary
  • Collaborating with suppliers to enforce corrective and preventive action plans
  • Conducting supplier visits, monitoring improvement roadmaps, and ensuring control plan sustainability
  • Overseeing inspections for low-critical parts and contributing to Return of Experience (REX) analysis
  • Preparing and monitoring supplier quality reviews to address top issues

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That's why we don't expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we've listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field
  • Knowledge in electrical, mechanical, or metal fields is appreciated
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; German is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Collaborative, persuasive, and resilient mindset
  • Background in quality management is a plus

You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're up for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
