Job description:
Missions :
As part of our re-organization, we are looking for a student involved in a work-study contract to join our dynamic team and support us in this new rail procurement process implementation and optimization.
The missions are :
- Collect and analyze data related to transportation flows (KPIs, Penalties calculation, etc.).
- Participate in the development and optimization of transportation plans through tendering process.
- Conduct market benchmarks to identify best practices in the sector.
- Organize market intelligence regarding new providers for improving provider panel.
Collaborate with various internal and external departments (logistics, sales, clients, providers).
Profil :
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Gather quantitative and qualitative data on transport flows, including cancellation, delays or other relevant indicators.
- Use statistical and computer tools to analyze the data automatically and score suppliers.
- Use the data analyzed to estimate the penalties applicable based on the contractual frame.
Development and Optimization of Transport Plans:
- Support on the design of transport plans, considering operational and economic constraints.
- Challenge the Railway Undertaker to get the best price and conditions.
- Propose improvements and solutions to optimize routes and reduce costs by looking for alternative solutions/providers.
Market Studies and Benchmarks:
- Conduct market studies to identify best practices and innovations in the transport sector.
- Perform comparative benchmarks with competitors and other market players.
Implementation of Innovative Solutions:
- Contribute to the implementation of new technologies and methods to improve the efficiency of transport operations (process standardization, trend and forecast, etc.)
- Collaborate with the development team to test and implement innovative solutions.
Interdepartmental Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Operations, Study/Engineering, Commercial, and other internal departments.
- Regularly communicate with providers to ensure the quality and efficiency of transport services.
Reports and Presentations:
- Prepare detailed reports on the results of studies and analyses.
- Present recommendations and conclusions to internal and external stakeholders
