Last month, on June 5, Henkel's French headquarters became a true hub of innovation as we hosted, for the very first time, Le Grand Challenge des Écoles d’Ingénieurs, in collaboration with Infopro Digital and L'Usine Nouvelle Events.

What began as a national engineering competition quickly evolved into something much bigger. Bringing together some of the brightest engineering students from across France, the event showcased bold thinking, cutting edge technologies, and innovative solutions designed to tackle challenges across industries such as automotive, healthcare, electronics, and beyond.

Throughout the day, students presented projects ranging from artificial intelligence applications to robotics and drone technologies. The creativity, technical expertise, and originality on display were impressive, but what left the strongest impression was the mindset behind the projects.

The students demonstrated remarkable confidence in tackling complex challenges. They were ambitious in their thinking, fearless in presenting new ideas, and highly effective at communicating the value of their innovations. Their ability not only to create solutions but also to share their vision and convince others of its potential highlighted qualities that will undoubtedly shape the future of engineering and innovation.

Beyond the competition itself, the event offered a glimpse into the exciting future being built by the next generation of talent. It reminded us of the importance of creating spaces where students can connect with industry leaders, exchange ideas, and turn ambitious concepts into real opportunities.

Congratulations to the winning teams for their outstanding achievements. More importantly, thank you to every participant who contributed to making the day so inspiring, energetic, and memorable. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and determination were at the heart of what made this event such a success.

A special thank you also goes to our colleagues Cécile Leroi, Dr. Adam Hilton, Cecile Gouedard (Drogou), Emma Guilleminot, Octavie Blandin, Stéphanie Coignard, Guillaume Derieux, and Virginie Michaud. Their dedication, teamwork, and commitment played a crucial role in bringing this first edition to life.

Looking back on June 5, one thing stands out clearly: innovation thrives when talent, curiosity, and collaboration come together. If the projects and ideas presented during this challenge are any indication, the future is in very capable hands.
