In this position, your role is essential in upholding compliance with tax regulations and optimizing tax processes for employees on international assignments. This position is key in handling the tax consequences of global mobility and facilitating a smooth transition for employees across different countries. Your main objective is to reduce tax-related risks and costs while ensuring that both the organization and its employees adhere to relevant tax laws.

  • Accurately prepare, review, and file tax returns and related deliverables for globally mobile employees within designated deadlines.
  • Offer specialized advice and recommendations on tax planning, withholding responsibilities, and social security contributions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure precise payroll tax calculations, reporting, and compliance with tax treaties.
  • Provide guidance to employees on tax responsibilities, assignment structures, tax equalization policies, and international tax implications.
  • Analyze employee compensation and payroll data, prepare supporting documentation, and compile tax reports for management and auditors.
  • Stay updated on international tax laws, conduct country-specific tax research, and ensure audit readiness with detailed tax records.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, manage engagement financials (billing, collections, KPIs), and provide timely updates on tax matters.
  • Identify new business opportunities, expand the client portfolio, and develop global mobility tax strategies to minimize liabilities for both companies and employees.

Qualifications:

  • A Swedish degree in law or economics, preferably with a focus on taxation.
  • Strong interest in international individual taxation, global mobility, and employment-related matters.
  • Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • Interest in systems and digitalisation.
  • Previous experience in taxation or social security law in the private sector or at a government authority is considered an advantage.

Additional Information:

  • This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in our Malmö office (Stockholm and Göteborg also available) at least 3 days a week.
