Then come join Demant as a Student Assistant in our Bluetooth application team in Smørum, Denmark.

About the job

You will become an integrated part of a cross-functional team of software developers and experienced test engineers. Together we make sure the connectivity of our hearing aids works flawlessly across the ecosystem of phones, apps and accessories that millions of users rely on every day. 
We expect you to be available to work around 15 hours a week with flexibility around exams and that you have minimum a year remaining from your education. 

What you'll do:

  • Maintenance of our complex integrated automation test system thought hardware and software patching.
  • Designing and writing automated regression tests for system comprising of phones and hearing instruments
  • Execution of manual exploratory tests as well as automated tests.
  • Verify defects and reproduce reported issues end-to-end
  • Maintain and improve our test framework, tools and lab setups
  • Identify the need for new functionality in the test framework and contribute ideas like automation dashboards and triggers.

Your qualifications

  • We expect you to be pursuing a higher education in an area of study such as engineering, software development, mathematics or similar
  • You are a collaborative team player with a proactive, structured, and solution oriented mindset.
  • You are curious and can critically assess the product
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken (our corporate language)
  • It will be beneficial to have experience with XML programming, bash/python scripting and hardware troubleshooting: drivers, USB devices, audio systems and networking.
  • Basic understanding of wireless systems and integration between mobile phone/apps and other devices is desirable
