We are looking for a skilled VMware Operations Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Sweden. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, and day-to-day operations of our VMware-based virtualisation environments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security across our virtualised infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and optimise VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and NSX environments
- Monitor infrastructure performance, troubleshoot incidents, and drive root cause analysis
- Manage capacity planning, patching, and lifecycle management of virtual infrastructure
- Collaborate with network, security, and storage teams to ensure integrated and resilient solutions
- Contribute to automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
- Support disaster recovery planning and ensure business continuity
- Maintain documentation of architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter/ESXi
- Solid understanding of virtualisation concepts, networking (VLANs, SDN), and storage (SAN/NAS)
- Experience with VMware NSX and vSAN is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerCLI, Python, or similar)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., vROps, Zabbix, Prometheus)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication skills in English; Swedish is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- VMware certifications (VCP-DCV or higher)
- Experience with cloud integration (VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution)
- Background in ITIL or similar service management frameworks
