EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for new talent to join its teams as a Video Editor Intern.

In this role, you will actively contribute to the editing and post-production of the company’s audiovisual content. You will hold a versatile position combining video editing, visual creation, and communication, with real responsibilities from the start of your internship.

The experience takes place in Canada, in our Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver offices. You will discover a dynamic North American professional environment where efficiency, collaboration, autonomy, and initiative are central.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Video Editor Intern at EIC, you will play a key role in producing and finalizing our audiovisual content.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Footage review: select and organize raw footage to identify the most relevant sequences.
  • Video editing: assemble footage and create smooth, coherent videos adapted to project objectives.
  • Narrative structure: work on pacing and sequencing to strengthen the impact of each video.
  • Graphic packaging: integrate titles, subtitles, logos, and other visual elements.
  • Post-production: contribute to color grading, sound processing, mixing, and final video production.
  • Format optimization: prepare and export videos in formats suited to different platforms.
  • Content adaptation: adapt productions for social media, websites, presentations, and other distribution channels.
  • Visual identity: ensure that videos remain consistent with brand guidelines and visual standards.
  • Media management: organize, classify, archive, and secure source files and deliverables.
  • Deadline management: ensure editing projects are completed within the required timelines.
  • Collaboration with EIC teams: work closely with marketing, design, and communication teams to understand their needs.
  • Process optimization: contribute to improving editing, post-production, and file management workflows.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • You are currently studying audiovisual production, film, video editing, communication, or a related field.
  • You have a genuine interest in video editing, production, and visual storytelling.
  • You are proficient in one or more editing tools such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or equivalent software.
  • You have already produced complete video edits and are able to work from a creative brief.
  • You understand how to structure a video and manage pacing to communicate a message effectively.
  • You pay close attention to image quality, sound, and graphic elements.
  • Ideally, you have a portfolio or showreel showcasing your work.
  • You are creative, autonomous, organized, and proactive.
  • You are comfortable using office and collaborative tools.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • You are interested in developing your skills in an international and multicultural environment.
  • A good level of English may be required depending on the position and responsibilities.
