Playable Ads, Digital Marketing and Creative Production

Company: Alfe Marketing

In collaboration with: Hyper HQ

Location: Fully remote, with the option to work from our office in Aarhus, Denmark.

Type: Part-time internship / project-oriented placement

Duration: 3 months to begin with, flexible around ECTS requirements

Hours: Around 10–15 hours per week, with flexibility around your studies and exams. If you have additional availability, there will also be opportunities to take on more hours.

Start date: As soon as possible, but flexible for the right person

Language: You can apply in Danish or English. Fluent English is required.

About the internship

Alfe Marketing is looking for 1 to 2 interns who want practical experience with digital marketing, client work, project coordination and playable ads.

You will work closely with me at Alfe Marketing and with the founder of Hyper HQ, a small creative studio that makes playable ads. Playable ads are interactive ad experiences, often built like small games or product demos, and are used especially in gaming and performance marketing.

This is a hands-on internship in a small team. You will be close to the daily work, the client conversations and the decisions that move projects forward. The role is a good fit for someone who likes structure, communication, creative work and making things run more smoothly.

What you will help with

The internship will be built around real client work and internal operations. Your tasks may include:

  • Project coordination: helping keep projects organized, following up on tasks, preparing notes, updating timelines and making sure important details are not missed.
  • Client service support: helping us prepare status updates, collect feedback, structure briefs and improve how we communicate with clients.
  • QA and bug testing: testing playable ads, finding bugs, checking user experience, documenting issues and helping make sure the final product feels polished.
  • Creative feedback and iteration: reviewing playable ads, giving input on game feel, user flow, design ideas and how the experience could be improved.
  • Market and competitor research: researching the playable ads space, creative studios, gaming advertisers and companies that appear to be investing in interactive ads.
  • Operations and internal systems: helping us build simple templates, checklists, research documents and processes that make the work easier to manage.
  • Smarter workflows: helping us find better ways to work across Notion, Slack, Google Drive, Jira, AI tools and our own internal operations tools.

What you will learn

You will get practical experience with:

  • Digital marketing and performance marketing
  • Playable ads and interactive creative production
  • Client service and project coordination
  • QA testing and bug reporting
  • Creative feedback and iteration
  • Competitor research in the games industry
  • How a small marketing company and a creative studio work with clients
  • How founders think about operations, growth and delivery
  • How to use tools and systems to make a small team work better

You will not just be given random intern tasks. The goal is for you to become useful in the team while also learning skills you can use in future roles.

Who we are looking for

You do not need to have a lot of experience. We care more about attitude, structure and curiosity.

You might be a good fit if you are:

  • A student in marketing, business, communication, digital design, media, games, entrepreneurship, IT or a related field
  • Interested in digital marketing, games, creative production or startups
  • Good at organizing information and turning messy tasks into clear next steps
  • Comfortable writing and speaking in English
  • Detail-oriented and able to test things properly
  • Reliable, curious and willing to ask questions
  • Comfortable working in a small team where things move quickly
  • Interested in working closely with founders and learning by doing

Nice to have, but not required

  • Experience with Notion, Slack, Google Drive, Jira, Figma or similar tools
  • Interest in mobile games, game mechanics or advertising
  • Experience from student projects, volunteer work, marketing, content, UX, QA or project coordination
  • A good eye for what makes a digital experience simple, fun or engaging
  • Interest in improving workflows, systems and internal processes

Why this could be interesting for you

You will work directly with founders and get close to real projects.

You will learn about a niche part of digital marketing that is growing fast.

You will help build actual systems and processes, not just observe from the side.

You will get experience across project coordination, client service, QA, research and creative production.

You will have the chance to shape parts of the internship around your strengths and interests.

If the collaboration works well, there may be a possibility of future paid work, freelance collaboration or hiring with either Alfe Marketing or Hyper HQ.

This is not guaranteed, but we are looking for someone who could potentially grow with us.

Practical information

The internship is unpaid and should ideally be connected to your studies as a study internship or project-oriented placement.

Where allowed by your study programme and the relevant rules, we may be able to offer a voluntary token of appreciation and cover agreed, relevant internship-related expenses.

We are happy to coordinate with your university regarding internship requirements, learning goals, ECTS, supervision and documentation.

The role can be done 100% remotely, with the option to work from our office in Aarhus, Denmark if you prefer. Your schedule is flexible and can be planned around your classes, exams, and other commitments.

Applicants must be able to complete the internship within the rules of their study programme and, where relevant, their residence or work conditions.

Because you may work with client information and creative concepts, you may be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement.
