What awaits you?
  • Take the lead in developing Multi-Modal Perception and Learning for intelligent interactive systems and smart vehicles, ensuring robust performance across diverse conditions.
  • Apply your ideas by implementing and validating advanced frameworks in robotic systems and intelligent interactive vehicles.
  • Work closely with a highly specialised, international team of AI/ML and robotics experts, sharing knowledge and shaping future technologies.
  • Conduct your research at the RoboTac Lab, BMW Group Research - our AI and Robotics Center of Excellence in Munich, Germany.
  • Benefit from access to cutting-edge resources, including advanced hardware, robotic platforms, intelligent vehicles, high-performance computing systems, and specialized software.
  • Showcase your research at leading international conferences such as ICRA, IROS, CVPR, ICML, and more.

What should you bring along?
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Mathematics, Systems, and Control, or a related field from a top international university.
  • Strong mathematical background and a strong interest in Robotics and Robot Learning, Transfer Learning, Machine Learning, Deep Active Learning, Multi-modal Active Perception and Learning, AI-based Control Architecture, Human-Machine Interaction.
  • Extensive practical software development experience, preferably in C/C++ and Python required.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow).
  • Having at least one publication in top IEEE conferences such as ICRA, and IROS or top journals such as T-RO, AURO, RAL, etc.
  • Efficient communication skills in English. German is an advantage.
