Location: Madale Village and communities, schools, and institutions around Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Duration: Flexible, year-round · 6–8 hrs/day, Monday–Friday

About the role
Join an award-winning program defending rights where the need is urgent. Embedded in a team of Tanzanian lawyers, advocates and community members — alongside fellow international interns — you'll do frontline human rights work across gender equality, child protection and social inclusion. This is not observation: you'll be part of the team.
What you'll do
- Gender equality & women's rights: community education, legal-awareness campaigns, survivor support and policy advocacy
- Child protection & children's rights: with local NGOs in a consortium supported by UNICEF, Save the Children and the Ministry of Community Development, Gender & Children
- Run advocacy activities in communities and schools, and contribute to seminars and forums
- Network with local and international rights organizations and support visibility (50,000+ Facebook followers)
- Carry out field documentation, research, planning and reporting
- Optional focus areas: sexual & reproductive rights, disability rights, legal research, or thesis/academic research
