Job Description

Banca Generali (www.bancagenerali.com), a private bank leader in Italy in financial planning and in the protection of clients through a network of private consultants at the top of the sector in terms of skills and expertise/professionalism is looking for the Investement Operation And Middle Office.

BGFML is a Management Company of UCITS funds and an Authorized Alternative Investment Fund Manager domiciled in Luxembourg which focuses on the Banca Generali Group's mark-to-market asset management, offering a complete range of investment solutions. In doing so, BGFML benefits from the expertise and professionalism of the international management team of Banca Generali Group, but also from the management skills of worldwide leading investment managers.

The Investment Management Units of BG FUND MANAGEMENT LUXEMBOURG SA (BGFML) acts as investment fund manager of several sub-funds of UCITS and AIFs umbrella funds for which BGFML has been appointed as management company. The sub-funds managed by BGFML are both Equity Strategies, Bond Strategies and Multi-strategies, among which both Fund of Funds and Direct Funds are present.

The Investment Operation and Middle Office Oversight Specialist has 2 main areas of responsibility:
  • Acting as firm's internal Front Office system (Bloomberg AIM) expert, supporting the head of the INVESTMENT OPERATION AND MIDDLE OFFICE OVERSIGHT department and the Portfolio Management team;
  • Monitoring Outsourced Middle Office activities.


The main Responsibilities are the following:

Front Office System (BLOOMBERG AIM) expert:
  • Manage the setup of the Front Office system (Bloomberg AIM)
  • Set up funds and broker on Bloomberg.
  • Set up accounts and account groups on Bloomberg
  • Maintain and reply pricing protocols on Bloomberg


Middle Office Oversight activities:
  • Monitor and review the daily performance of the outsourced Middle Office provider
  • Monitor and review the daily performance of the outsourced Middle Office provider, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, KPIs and SLAs.
  • Supervise the subscription and redemption orders' integration in the F.O. system to ensure accurate and timely execution of cash allocation
  • Oversee settlement activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of trades and cash movements
  • Review and challenge KPI dashboards, SLA performance, and control reports shared by the provider
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness across trade, cash, and position records
  • Prepare oversight reporting for Conducting Officers, internal committees, and the Board
  • Maintain oversight documentation (procedures, incident logs, escalation register)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the oversight framework and operational efficiency


Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration or any related discipline.
  • Ideally having at least 2-4 years of experience in Middle Office, Operations, Oversight or Fund Administration, with regular interaction with Portfolio Management and Depositary functions.
  • Hands-on experience covering trade lifecycle, settlement, and reconciliations for both liquid and illiquid asset classes.
  • Knowledge of derivatives, cash management, and asset servicing workflows.
  • Ability to monitor and outsourced Middle Office activities.
  • As a plus, knowledge of Luxembourg fund regulation, including CSSF Circular 18/698 and delegation principles.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg AIM and advanced Excel skills.
  • Familiarity with oversight frameworks, KPIs, and SLAs.
