What you'll do
As an intern in our State Visits & Economic Missions team, you'll jump right into the preparation of a major highlight:
the State Visit to Kazakhstan
You'll be part of a small, dynamic team and work closely with Belgian institutions (Royal Palace, FPS Foreign Affairs, the Belgian Embassy in Astana, AWEX, FIT, hub.brussels)

- 2 State Visits of Their Majesties the King and the Queen
These missions bring together Their Majesties, the ministers, and top-level CEOs and decision-makers from around the world. Big projects, high impact, and a great behind-the-scenes experience!
What you'll do
As an intern in our State Visits & Economic Missions team, you'll jump right into the preparation of a major highlight:
the State Visit to Kazakhstan
You'll be part of a small, dynamic team and work closely with Belgian institutions (Royal Palace, FPS Foreign Affairs, the Belgian Embassy in Astana, AWEX, FIT, hub.brussels)
Your tasks:
- Help coordinate logistics
- Manage participant registrations
- Coordinate with hotels (rooms & meeting spaces)
- Coordination flight booking (governmental aircraft)
- Follow up on participant lists and build individual programmes
- Support transport planning and vehicle bookings
- Keep everything up to date
- Update participant info on our website & mobile app
- (Bonus: travel experience!)
- If possible, you'll join the delegation in Astana & Almaty (11-14 Oct 2026, tbc) and assist on-site:
- Badge distribution
- Transport coordination
- Seating plans
- General event logistics
Practical info
- Duration: minimum 3 months (15 July - 15 October 2026)
- Location: Brussels (Rue Montoyer 3)
- Hybrid setup: 2 days office / 3 days remote
- Travel: Kazakhstan (approx. 9-14 October 2026) - including payment of per diem

Who we're looking for
You're:
- Fluent in French, Dutch & English (written + spoken)
- Comfortable with Excel, Teams & PowerPoint
- Super organized and detail-oriented
- Able to juggle multiple tasks (and keep your cool under pressure 😅)
- Flexible and solution-oriented when plans change last minute
- Proactive, communicative, and a real team player
- Proven experience in events or communication
Big plus:
- Knowledge of Russian or Kazakh
And of course: you have a valid passport for travel

- Salary : Salary to be discussed + reimbursement of all travel costs & payement of per diem during the mission
