Since 2008, we have been building our sustainable development approach and continue our efforts to take care of our planet. Aligned with our sustainable development pillar Biorefining, we are constantly acting by developing specific measures to reduce our impacts and optimize our energy consumption.

Roquette in Lithuania is an example of our efforts in making a significant contribution to sustainability and climate change mitigation by reducing our carbon footprint. We are now one of the first companies in Lithuania to complete a Power Purchase Agreement with Enefit Green based on a long-term contract from the wind farm developed in Akmenė, scheduled to start operations in 2023.

We’re happy to see the start of the park’s construction because it will help us to achieve the sustainability of our activities in the field of environmental protection. As an action based on our sustainable development pillar of Biorefining, this new energy supply will also contribute to the overall reduction of greenhouse gas emissions* of the Roquette group's sites by 25% between 2021 and 2030.
