Introduced to the Symrise palette in 2022, this exclusive essence of Pimenta racemosa was developed with Lautier 1795, from leaf to oil, in the Sava region of Madagascar.

Developed from a newly introduced crop, carefully adapted to Madagascar’s soil and climate, this bay oil reflects years of agronomic work and close collaboration on the ground.

Harvested by hand and distilled leaf by leaf, the material reveals a warm, vibrant and complex profile. Spicy, balsamic, slightly gourmand, with notes of nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper, and a powerful eugenol-like signature.

Designed specifically for perfumery, Bay Oil offers a natural alternative to eugenol, opening new creative paths for florals, woods and spicy accords.
