Sales is not a department—it’s a mindset. In an era where cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder buy-in, and personal branding are essential to career growth, understanding influence is no longer optional. This skill seminar introduces participants to the Influence Equation: Influence = Credibility × Connection × Clarity—a simple but powerful formula used to understand what makes ideas persuasive, people trustworthy, and change possible.

Whether pitching a product, managing up, leading a project, or vying for the next promotion, this session will help you build these three pillars of influence and lead strategic impact any team or company you join.

Grounded in research and informed by real-world practices from global companies, this workshop reframes “sales” as a critical career skill for anyone who wants to lead, impact, and communicate effectively. Participants will leave with a Sales Mindset Playbook to apply influence strategies both externally and internally, across all roles and career stages.

Hosted by Tanya Budler, Director of Recruitment at EF (Education First). 

Tanya began her EF journey in 2015 as a Global 360 Trainee before earning her master’s at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She went on to found Rise Together, an impact consulting firm that partnered across sectors to build “Welcoming Workforces” where international newcomers could thrive. That experience deepened her belief that influence comes from aligning the right people with the right opportunities to spark lasting change. Now, back at EF as Director of Recruitment, she leads global talent strategy. Across every chapter of her career, her focus has been people-centered problem solving—creating the conditions where individuals, teams, and organizations can thrive.
