We're on a mission to create a healthier social media platform - one where people, businesses, and communities connect and coexist in an equally beneficial way.

Do you want to be part of an ambitious tech company in the start-up phase and gain practical experience in finance and administration?

At Treets, we are looking for a Financial Controller who will play a central role in our daily financial management. Your primary tasks will be to process invoices, update the budget, manage salary and prepare financial reports for management. In addition, there will be regular VAT reporting and annual accounts.

The position is for 10-15 hours a week in our Copenhagen office, and you will be part of a young and dynamic team where you will be given responsibility from day one with direct insight into how a SaaS startup works with finance, reporting, and operations.

You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the company's auditors from Ernst and Young. Comp range is 150-185 DKK / hour.

What you would've done in the last 6 months
  • Ongoing bookkeeping in e-conomic of invoices and cash expenses
  • Review and optimization of expenses in connection with managing the budget
  • Quarterly VAT reporting
  • Payroll processing and updating of holiday registrations
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports for management
  • Establishment of bookkeeping routines and collaboration with our external auditor
  • Assist in the preparation of annual accounts

What might do in the next 6 months
  • Preparation of monthly reports for management and the board
  • Handling of revenue as sales pick up - including setting up and reconciling invoices from Stripe and other payment flows
  • Support on quarterly budget updates
  • Contribute to professionalizing our reporting and financial structure in line with growth
  • Administrative ad hoc tasks, e.g., contract management, planning, and communication with partners

About you
  • Has a structured approach to work and an eye for detail
  • Has previous experience working with e-conomic and performing VAT and tax registrations
  • Is comfortable working independently, but also collaborating closely with management
  • You're comfortable in a high-performance environment where people hold each other to a high standard. The work is hard. The pace is fast. But the people around you are talented, the problems are interesting, and the impact is real.

How to apply
We are accepting applications until Friday, July 31st, 2026. Please submit an application with a resume and a cover letter by following the link below.

In your cover letter, we expect you to tell a little bit about yourself and what you can bring to Treets and this role in the future. You can also tell us about something you've done, something that's relevant to the kind of work we do at Treets or simply something that excited you. Overall, be descriptive, but don't write a novel (500 words or less).

We run a hybrid culture with a lot of asynchronous collaboration, so your ability to express yourself in writing is important and your cover letter serves as an example of your ability to do that.

You can expect to hear from us about the status of your application by the end of October. Please note that we're unable to offer individual feedback during the screening process. Our small team simply doesn't have the bandwidth to offer personalized feedback before the final round of interviews.
