We, the BMW Group, focus on passive safety for high-voltage batteries in electric vehicles. Our simulation experts develop and validate next-generation vehicles virtually. Join our interdisciplinary team of materials and simulation specialists and help ensure that our new electric vehicles meet the highest crash safety requirements.

What awaits you?
  • You will support advanced material testing methods for high-voltage battery components.
  • Furthermore, you help apply modern analysis methods such as computed tomography, digital volume correlation, and data analysis.
  • In addition, you contribute to the design and setup of a CT-compatible test apparatus.
  • Moreover, you assist with sensor integration and basic mechatronic aspects of the test setup.
  • You will also support experiment-simulation correlation for improved material understanding.
  • Additionally, you gain insights into high-voltage battery development in testing and simulation.

What should you bring along?
  • Studies in mechanical engineering, materials science, mechatronics, physics, data science or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of mechatronic systems such as sensors, actuators, and signal chains is an advantage.
  • Interest in experimental mechanics and simulation.
  • Programming skills in Python or MATLAB.
  • Hands-on mindset and motivation to explore new testing approaches.
  • Very good English skills; proficiency in German is a plus.
