This is Christoph – Lead Engineer at Boehringer Ingelheim.

In his role, he operates between the construction site and the office on a daily basis: sometimes strategic project planning, sometimes very specific technical problem solving. When major challenges arise, he is the one who is called upon. Christoph ensures that plants run reliably, projects are implemented smoothly, and occupational safety is a top priority for the team.

Christoph joined our company in 2022. Early on, he briefly considered studying chemistry, but ultimately decided on pharmaceutical engineering in Sigmaringen in southern Germany. His career then took him through various roles in plant engineering and system development before he arrived at Boehringer Ingelheim. A passion for the pharmaceutical world had been driving him long before he joined our company – and it still drives him today.

Christoph explains that seeing a plant run smoothly and produce medicines is what gives purpose to his work. When a project is successfully implemented and the facilities finally manufacture medicines that can save lives, that’s what motivates him every single day. At the same time, he appreciates the enormous opportunities to grow and develop in all directions.
