Are you passionate about mechanical engineering, technical documentation, and renewable energy? We are looking for a Mechanical Documentation Engineer to join an exciting offshore wind energy project, supporting turbine activities from commissioning through to service.
In this role, you will transform complex mechanical engineering information into clear, accurate, and practical technical documentation for field teams. You will work closely with Engineering, EHS, Field Operations, Technical Support, Factory, and Project teams, ensuring procedures remain aligned with the design as it evolves.

Are you passionate about mechanical engineering, technical documentation, and renewable energy? We are looking for a Mechanical Documentation Engineer to join an exciting offshore wind energy project, supporting turbine activities from commissioning through to service.
In this role, you will transform complex mechanical engineering information into clear, accurate, and practical technical documentation for field teams. You will work closely with Engineering, EHS, Field Operations, Technical Support, Factory, and Project teams, ensuring procedures remain aligned with the design as it evolves.
Your day-to-day
- Create, review, and maintain mechanical technical documentation for installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities.
- Develop RAMS, lifting plans, maintenance instructions, test procedures, and digital checklists.
- Translate technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and engineering changes into clear, step-by-step field procedures.
- Keep documentation aligned with design changes, ensuring correct revision, version control, and traceability.
- Collaborate with Engineering, EHS, Field Operations, Technical Support, Factory, and Project teams to gather technical inputs and ensure documentation requirements are properly addressed.
- Integrate safety requirements, risk controls, warnings, and hold points into technical documentation.
- Support field teams remotely and, when required, on site, incorporating their feedback and lessons learned into procedures.
- Manage documents and approval workflows through EDMS and digital documentation platforms.
- Collaborate with digital documentation teams to improve and digitise documentation processes and workflows.
- Ensure consistent terminology, templates, and quality standards across the technical documentation.
What does our recruitment process look like?

What do we need from you?
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in technical documentation, procedure writing, commissioning, or similar roles within a mechanical environment.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical systems and the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Strong technical writing skills, with a genuine interest in creating precise, structured, and easy-to-follow documentation.
- Experience with EDMS, document control, version management, and digital documentation tools.
- Understanding of EHS practices, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with field teams, engineers, and safety specialists.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple documents and deadlines.
- Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to provide occasional on-site support when required.
