At DTU Nanolab, we are offering a 12-month research assistant position as part of the 3D VOLT project, where we are developing biomass-derived supercapacitors for IoT applications.
We are currently in the pre-startup phase, funded by ERC POC and a Novo Nordisk Foundation Pioneer Innovator Grant, working on translating our patented technology from laboratory-scale studies to a commercially viable, encapsulated supercapacitor with thermally stable electrolytes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary research environment and contribute to the development of next-generation energy storage solutions.

As a formal qualification, you must have a master's degree in engineering or equivalent. You should have prior hands-on experience with electrochemistry and be proficient in working in a wet chemistry lab. Furthermore, strong communication skills in English are a central requirement.

- Fabricate carbon electrodes using our patented technology
- Support the automation process to scale up electrode fabrication
- Assist in prototyping and performance evaluation of the biomass-derived supercapacitors
