Job description:

Would you like to contribute to meaningful technology that improves people’s quality of life—while studying? Then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We are currently looking for a Student Assistant to join our Electro-Acoustics team in R&D, Device Hardware (DHW).

Join the Electro-Acoustics team

Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and verifying the electroacoustic performance of advanced hearing instruments. We work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate closely across disciplines—including mechanical engineering, electronics, and audiology—to create high-quality hearing solutions.
As part of our team, you will gain hands-on experience with real engineering challenges and contribute to ongoing product development and concept exploration.

Your tasks

As a student assistant, you will support our engineering teams in ongoing product deliveries and the development of tools, methods, and ways of working. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing electro-acoustic measurements and supporting test activities
  • Documenting, presenting, and discussing results with the team
  • Assisting with data analysis and tool development (e.g., MATLAB programming)
  • Supporting setup, design, and testing of measurement systems
  • Participating in practical tasks such as soldering and troubleshooting

In addition, you will help improve and develop our tools and workflows, contributing to more efficient ways of working and supporting innovation in our engineering solutions.

Who you are

We are looking for a motivated and curious student who enjoys combining theory with hands-on engineering work.
We expect that you:

  • Are currently studying a Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Have an interest in electroacoustics, signal processing, or measurement techniques
  • Are comfortable or interested in programming (e.g., MATLAB)
  • Enjoy hands-on work (lab setups, soldering, troubleshooting)
  • Are proactive, structured, and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment
  • Experience is not required - we value curiosity & willingness to learn.

We offer

  • A flexible student position (~10 - 15 hours per week) with consideration for exams
  • Hands-on experience in a professional R&D environment
  • Opportunity to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges
  • A supportive team where learning and development are part of everyday work
