Your role
As an Aircraft Stress Engineer, you will contribute to the structural integrity and airworthiness of aerospace products by performing stress analysis, supporting non-conformity resolutions, and providing technical recommendations throughout the product lifecycle.
Working closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams, you will help identify structural risks, assess proposed modifications, and ensure compliance with industry standards and certification requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Perform structural analyses using finite element methods (FEM) and classical hand calculations
- Evaluate structural components, assemblies, and modifications to ensure safety and performance
- Assess static strength, fatigue life, and damage tolerance of aerospace structures
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and provide technical recommendations for non-conformities and deviations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve structural and material-related issues
- Prepare stress reports, compliance documentation, and engineering change requests
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of analysis methods and engineering practices
Your profile
You are analytical, rigorous, and passionate about aerospace engineering. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and working in collaborative engineering environments.
You bring
- A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in stress analysis for aircraft structures
- Strong experience with FEM tools such as Nastran, Abaqus, or Ansys
- Knowledge of structural analysis methodologies, including fatigue, static strength, and damage tolerance assessments
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory requirements such as FAA, EASA, or Transport Canada standards
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
