Business Analyst Intern – Strategy, Consulting & Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

EIC (Experience Internship Canada) is looking for motivated candidates to join its teams as a Business Analyst Intern – Strategy, Consulting & Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).

You will contribute to analysis supporting EIC’s development and growth decisions. You will work on market research, strategic questions and exploratory assessments of merger and acquisition opportunities.

This internship takes place in the United States, in our Boston or New York City (NYC) offices.

You will work in an international professional environment that values collaboration, initiative and learning through practical work. A supervisor will help you understand priorities and take on responsibilities as your skills develop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Market research: analyze companies, trends and needs in the markets under review.
• Business analysis: organize data and turn business questions into actionable analysis.
• Assessment: compare business models and identify potential growth drivers.
• M&A: support target research and prepare company profiles.
• Financial analysis: support preliminary financial statement reviews and valuation comparisons.
• Deal materials: organize information for preliminary assessments under supervision.
• Recommendations: prepare memos and presentations explaining assumptions and risks.
• Follow-up: document decisions and track actions arising from reviewed projects.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• You are studying strategy, finance, economics, consulting or management.
• You enjoy researching, summarizing and comparing information from different sources.
• You have a foundation in financial analysis and use Excel and presentation tools.
• You are rigorous and can distinguish facts, assumptions and recommendations.
• You are comfortable communicating in English. French is an asset for collaboration with French-speaking colleagues and audiences.
• You can work collaboratively, seek feedback and suggest practical improvements.
