Salary: The allowance for students is €425,-- per month. If the Erasmus or other grant is less then the EUR 425,-- the student can apply for a supplement.
Location: Wetsus – European center of excellence for sustainable water technology (Leeuwarden, Netherlands)
Motivation:
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges in our society. Novel, cost- effective technological solutions are urgently needed to create carbon-neutral capture technology that can be powered by renewable electricity.
This project will optimize an electrochemical cell to regenerate alkaline absorbents for CO capture on the laboratory scale. The challenges are to determine optimum cell configuration and operating conditions, achieve high current efficiency, low energy consumption and maximize CO2 uptake and alkaline solvent regeneration.
You will learn how to develop a research project independently and improve your critical thinking.
Responsibilities:
