Complete your NGO internship in Ireland and contribute to meaningful projects with local organisations committed to fighting cancer and supporting vulnerable communities. Immersed in an English-speaking environment, you will gain insight into how the Irish non-profit sector operates while developing your skills in project management, logistics, and community engagement.
You will mainly join a charity shop run by a non-profit organisation, where proceeds help fund cancer research, support people affected by cancer, and raise public awareness. Depending on local needs, you may also take part in other community and environmental projects alongside local teams.
Your Missions
- Participate in the day-to-day management of a charity shop, including sorting donations, stocking shelves, managing inventory, and receiving donations.
- Welcome and assist customers and the organisation's beneficiaries.
- Contribute to the collection, sorting, and distribution of clothing and other supplies.
- Participate in home visits and initiatives supporting people in vulnerable situations.
- Organise and lead charity, sports, or community activities.
- Take part in community initiatives such as town clean-ups and the maintenance of shared public spaces.
- Contribute to local sustainable development and community improvement projects, particularly through the Tidy Towns programme.
Tasks are varied and evolve according to the needs of the host organisations. Interns are encouraged to demonstrate independence, flexibility, and initiative in order to actively contribute to the projects.
