The Investments Data Science team is part of the Generali Asset Management Investment Function. The team develops and coordinates projects and initiatives that leverage data science techniques to enhance investment strategies.
The candidate will play a key role in evolving an internal platform dedicated to portfolio analysis and asset allocation optimization. Currently in its beta phase, the platform is being tested by a select group of users, offering you the unique opportunity to contribute to a tool that directly impacts investment strategies.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Partner with beta users to identify bugs, improve existing features, and enhance the overall user experience.
- Align with stakeholders to plan, develop, and deploy new functionalities.
- Design and implement modules for the automatic generation of financial reports.
- Contribute to the integration of AI-based features (LLMs, Agentic frameworks) to provide intelligent guidance to users.
- Maintain and expand the unit-testing suite to ensure platform reliability.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Strong knowledge of Python. Familiarity with full-stack development principles is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD concepts (e.g., GitLab CI), and basic exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Good understanding of Git workflow (branches, pull requests, code reviews).
- Familiarity or strong interest in AI Agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, CrewAI) and LLM integration.
- Previous exposure to financial topics or a strong desire to learn about asset allocation and portfolio management.
- Exposure to modern web frameworks like Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Basic experience building REST APIs with Python (FastAPI/Flask) and handling asynchronous workflows.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD concepts (e.g., GitLab CI).
- A disciplined approach to software engineering, debugging, and understanding complex end-to-end workflows.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to operate effectively in an international, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive attitude and the flexibility to manage evolving priorities.
